My husband and I share the grocery shopping duties. We usually shop every 2-3 days in order to get the freshest produce. We alternate and it works … mostly.
When it works it’s a fabulous system. One doesn’t suffer from grocery shopping overload and we always have plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables on hand. We also manage to keep costs relatively sane as a lot of times we don’t miss decent pricing on the items we buy. If there’s a good sale on something we buy double or sometimes more. It works, when it works.
The times it doesn’t work is when one of us forgets to put a needed item on the list so we do without for a few days. Worse case scenario we keep forgetting to add it to the list. The excuse when we miss something is always … “it wasn’t on my list”. We’ve both used this excuse so many times that it’s become a joke … almost. lol
Until the next time.
I make a list and still forget !! LOL!!
I actually like going to the grocery store ! Go figure !
We use the Bring! App. We can both add things to the same list. We cross off items as they are purchased. If not crossed off, they just stay on the list until the next visit. We also have different lists for other store types, eg drug, hardware stores, Costco.
