The other day a single lonely piece of mail hit my home mailbox. My husband was almost baffled by this square little envelope delivered by the mail person. I admit I was baffled as well.
We both looked at it as I turned it this way, then that way, then upside down all the while trying to figure out what it was about. Finally it dawned on me. I had given a baby shower gift not more than 10 days previously. This envelope with card was the result.
Upon opening, inside was a nice card with a lovely note mentioning by name the gifts I’d given and thanking me. A thank you note … something I haven’t received in a long, long time. I can’t even recall the last time I received one. It was refreshing.
