On occasion I’ve accused my husband of procrastinating especially when it’s something I want done. Sometimes he can’t get the chore or whatever I’ve asked of him done fast enough for me. That’s the unfortunate truth and it’s on me. Not him. That I can be very impatient is a trait I’d like to lose.
It’s accurate to say when I want something done, I want it done. BUT, over time I’ve learned that sometimes it pays to procrastinate. It pays to sit back and review and contemplate what one wants to purchase or complete. As much as it pains me to say … sometimes it’s actually in one’s best interest to procrastinate.
A good example would be the purchase of a large ticket item that isn’t an urgent need. In some cases it may be prudent to wait a bit because sales happen. And it may be store policy that if an item goes on sale even within a specified timeframe you don’t get a credit. So you wait for that sale. But you risk the chance of not getting the item if you wait. However it also could work in your favour. So, do I procrastinate or do I jump in? A catch 22 situation for sure.
Until the next time.
