I’m a rule follower for the most part and nothing annoys me more than those that break them with abandon. Especially the driving ones. I know there are hard and fast rules but there are also implied rules. It’s true the implied rules are most likely common courtesy but breaking them ticks me off nonetheless.
For instance, on our recent road trip we were on I-490 and needed to exit so we got into the correct lane to exit and moved into the exit lane. It was backed up for a couple kilometres. Did we move out and try to cut in line ahead, no we did not. But others did. It’s a very small thing but the inconsideration pissed me off. And before you think that maybe people realized at last minute it was their exit I am not buying that a couple dozen people were in that situation. Not buying it for a second.
I like to think karma will kick in sometime and they’ll get theirs back. Yeah I know it’s mean spirited to think that but it’s satisfying in a nasty sort of way.
Until the next time.
I laughed at thinking that this ticks you off ..human nature …..I think we all have experienced this a few times in our lifetime and feel exactly like you ….it makes one wonder about people and why they do this …it’s insulting in a way their sense of importance… I too believe in karma and I’m sure somewhere down the line it comes back to bite them …it also may be called road rage1! Lol!..l
Karma always pays a visit. Sometimes, unannounced. And hopefully the selfish will see their lesson and learn it.
Whenever I do something on the road (usually unintentionally, such as requesting the right of way) I ask for forgiveness out loud. And anytime someone extends me the right-of-way, I say “thank you.”
I hope to leave some loving kindness behind me, before me, around me and within me everywhere I go.
Peace to you.
