Occasionally a situation occurs that either pisses me off or upsets me. When it does I’ve got a conundrum … do I say something or stay quiet?
I’m a person who likes order and does things in a certain way. Maybe at times I can be anal about it but when I’m in charge of a situation or cause or project I ensure things run as smoothly as possible. I ensure that the team or group or whatever you want to call the others in the situation are fully informed every step of the way. And they also have input every step of the way. That’s how I operate. Others don’t.
Something happened recently that annoyed me. Not every team/group member were apprised of the situation so had no input. In my opinion, that’s not right. But, as a member do I speak up and possibly piss off or upset others or do I leave it? In this particular case because it was minor I left it. It was a matter of not upsetting the applecart. And now it’s a matter of vigilance on my part in future to ensure everyone has input.
Have you ever been in a situation like that and chose to speak up? I’m curious as to the outcome.
Until the next time.
As is usual, you've given myself and many others, something to consider when participating in a group
task or project.
