It occurred to me that I haven’t written about a particular day in a long time. And I missed the fun of looking up the happenings and learning something new.
When I googled November 4 a number of what I think are interesting observances came up such as:
National Candy Day
Love your lawyer day
Fountain pen day
Use your common sense day
One in particular that I chuckled at is “use your common sense day”. I like to think I always use common sense but I suppose there are times that I don’t. And I further suppose I’m not the only one that doesn’t always use their common sense.
So how did it common sense day get started you ask. Well I’ll tell you.
Bud Bilanich established this day in 2015. Bud is a career mentor, motivational speaker, blogger and author. He’s written books highlighting how to succeed in life and how common sense is a vital part of success. So I guess it was a natural progression for him to mark a particular day. Makes sense to me.
Although I don’t really have a sweet tooth, I could celebrate a National Candy Day as I do enjoy a good candy from time to time. According to the website Candy Funhouse the top 10 popular Canadian candies are:
MacIntosh’s Mack Toffee
Eat-More chocolate bar
Big Turk
Maynard’s Wine Gums
Aero Bar
Coffee Crisp
Smarties
Thrills Gum
Pal-O-Mine chocolate bar
Maltesers
I’ll admit I love a good Coffee Crisp and I do have a weakness for Maltesers and now that I think about it Mackintosh’s Mack Toffee is pretty fine too. Hmmm maybe I do have a sweet tooth after all.
Do you have any faves?
Until the next time.
Not sure how you come up with your new topics each week but I love how they make me think about them. …you’re doing a great job …look forward to and enjoy each week !👍🏻👍🏻🥰
