The other morning I was out for my walk and saw a lady walking her mid size dog. The leash was one of those flexies that extends about 15 feet or so. This dogs leash was extended so much that the dog was in the middle of someone’s lawn doing it’s business. I guess I stared so long that the lady asked me what the hell I was looking at. My reply …
“Someone disrespecting another person’s property.”
Her reply was her middle finger. I probably shouldn’t have engaged but I couldn’t resist. I’m bad.
I seriously do not get it. I don’t understand how people think it’s perfectly okay to take their dog for a walk and allow them to do their business on other people’s property. Some people even deliberately do this in order to save their own lawns. WTH?
Before anyone gets upset with my view please know I do understand that most people pick up after their dogs. But, in my opinion, that still doesn’t make it right. (Again, I’m expressing my opinion. Others have different opinions and are more than entitled to them.)
I had a dog. I didn’t allow my dog to mess on other peoples’ property. In fact, at training school it was one of the first things taught to us owners.
“Walking your dog should not be used as a toilet run.”
We were told to find a spot on our property for our dog to use. So I did. It’s not rocket science.
Until the next time.
