It’s common to see posts on social media sites from people wishing their significant others, parents, children and even pets a happy birthday, happy anniversary, congratulations and other best wishes. I’ve done it myself.
The thing that has me doing a double take are those people that have not been heard from or seen online in months, then one day on this special occasion, as if by magic, these posts, complete with pictures, are there. What is up with that?
Don’t get me wrong. I understand the concept of posting the best wishes. What I don’t understand is just showing up on those occasions only. It’s weird imo. I mean, either you’re there or you’re not. Right?
Do they wake up in the morning and think “It’s so and so’s birthday, anniversary or whatever. I have to get online and wish them a blah, blah, blah. But, first I need to find as many pictures as I can to commemorate the day because those have to be part of it .” Mind boggling to me.
Thanks for reading.
Until the next time.
FB automatically compiles pics with you and your friend for you on their b-day and asks if you want to sent their pre-made post. More attempts to drive traffic.
Mike beat me to it. LOL
