We all have lists. Lists of groceries we need to buy, to do lists, repairs lists, appointments to make list, things we want to achieve lists … some are fun, some aren’t. I think the best list is the Bucket List.
There was a movie called The Bucket List from 2007 starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. It was a pretty decent comedy/drama about 2 guys that meet in a hospital room. One’s super rich, the other an average guy. They start talking about the things they want to do before they die. So they set off on a great adventure. I’ll leave it to you to watch it to see what happens. I don’t want to spoil it.
Anyway, I’ve got a travel bucket list. The idea was to retire (that’s another story thanks to Covid) and travel .. a lot. So with retirement here I’m compiling a list of places to visit in no specific order …
Maui for the 3rd time
Mexico
Spain
Portugal
Italy … specifically Tuscany
Ireland again
Scotland
Florida Keys again
West coast of Canada
East coast of Canada … been to PEI, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Want to see New Brunswick and revisit a few of the others
any other places I find along the way
Our hopes are to spend at least 3-4 weeks at each destination getting to know the locals, eating local foods, hanging out at the beach if there is one, walking, cycling and just chilling. I’m thinking it’ll be epic.
It’s the plan, but like anything plans can and often do change.
Until the next time.
