I love reading. I’ll read books in all sizes and shapes … hardcover, paperback or my iPad. At any given time I have at least a half dozen books laying around waiting to be read plus about the same or more waiting on my iPad. It may be a sickness. Lol
To find my books I read newsletters about books, I scour the newspapers for those newly published and whenever a new book from a favourite author appears it’s added to the list for future reading. I also add other authors names to try if their recent book looks interesting and if they’ve been given a good review.
In no particular order here’s a short listing of some of my favourite authors …
Michael Connelly
John Grisham
Elin Hilderbrand
Lee Child
David Baldacci
Harlan Coben
Are you a reader? Any favourite authors I should check out?
Until the next time.
I feel your pain! Which is why I've turned to audiobooks. I'm able to get a lot more reading done if I can listen while doing mundane (doesn't require thinking) chores like housework and laundry. Some recent authors/titles I've enjoyed:
Kurt Andersen - Fantasyland & Evil Geniuses
Sheila Hancock - Old Rage
Damien Echols - Life After Death
Delia Owens - Where the Crawdads Sing
Russell Shorto - Smalltime
I have a Harlan Coben downloaded to my Library for future listening.
I still enjoy 'real' books and keep a stack on my bedside table for reading before bedtime. The only problem with that is I can't stay awake very long!
Both Andy and I used to read voraciously, but have slowed down--since the end of Covid. Not sure why, could be we overread the authors we like. Our list is very similar to yours. I have a few authors you might enjoy, they each have their own style and plots Maeve Binchy, Kathy Reichs, Patricia Cornwell and Clive Cussler
